Modeling of Voltage-Dependent Diffused Resistors
A voltage-dependent diffused resistor model has been developed using conventional voltage controlled current sources (VCCS’s) defined by a two-dimensional polynomial for simulations of mixed-signal circuits. The polynomial coefficients can be defined by a simple firstorder polynomial which can be a function of geometry and process variables to accurately reflect the manufacturing process. Alter...
متن کاملAdvanced Electro-thermal Modeling for Surface Mount Resistors
Exceeding component maximum ratings due to transient events like current spikes can lead to premature failure of surface mount resistors due to thermal and electrical overstress. In order to accurately evaluate device parameters and their impact on the circuit behavior a coupled electro-thermal simulation method must be applied under the influence of packaging. This article presents an analysis...
متن کاملEffect of Annealing Process on the Properties of Ni(55%)Cr(40%)Si(5%) Thin-Film Resistors
Resistors in integrated circuits (ICs) are implemented using diffused methods fabricated in the base and emitter regions of bipolar transistor or in source/drain regions of CMOS. Deposition of thin films on the wafer surface is another choice to fabricate the thin-film resistors in ICs' applications. In this study, Ni(55%)Cr(40%)Si(5%) (abbreviated as NiCrSi) in wt % was used as the target and ...
متن کاملA 3-Terminal Model for Diffused and Ion-Implanted Resistors
In this paper, we present a new, physically based 3-terminal model for diffused and ion-implanted resistors. The model accounts for the effects of geometry, temperature, and bias, and includes parasitic p-n junction diodes. The junction depletion capacitances are distributed to model high-frequency behavior accurately.
متن کاملI-V characteristics of polycrystalline silicon resistors
2014 The electrical properties of polycrystalline silicon resistors in the non-linear regime are examined. The adopted model is based on a thermionic-diffusion transport mechanism, and assumes charge trapping at the grain boundary. The theory closely fits experimental I-V characteristics, and allows for the determination of the average grain size. REVUE DE PHYSIQUE APPLIQUÉE TOME 13, DÉCEMBRE 1...
